Rural Adult and Youth Sun Protection (RAYS) - WVU Cancer Institute

Rural Adult and Youth Sun Protection (RAYS)

RAYS tests the effectiveness of a skin cancer prevention program for youths living in rural counties in Utah and West Virginia.

The program is delivered in a recreational sports setting and encourages youths to increase the use of sun protection strategies like sunscreen and protective clothing. RAYS is funded by the National Cancer Institute and is a collaborative study between the University of Utah, Georgetown University, and West Virginia University.
