The WVU Cancer Institute Breast Cancer Survivor Walk is being reinvigorated this fall! Presented by Howard Hanna Premier Properties by Barbara Alexander and WVU Medicine, this beloved community event moves to Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium October 26! Together, we will honor our breast cancer survivors, recognize their supporters, provide valuable resources, and grow hope for those in treatment, while we celebrate the legacy of Betty Puskar, a titan of cancer philanthropy and awareness in West Virginia.
Event Information
The event includes meet-and-greets, special photo ops, a raffle, silent auction, T-shirt sales, on-field group photo, and a special table-or-treat for children of our guests! We encourage kids to don their trick-or-treat costumes for the occasion and invite our adult guests to wear pink and costume elements – think pink tule skirt or sparkly, tall headpiece! A number of vendors, services, and care providers will be on hand, and the Monongalia County Health Department will be providing vaccines, including flu and COVID.
Event proceeds benefit the WVU Cancer Institute Betty Puskar Breast Care Enhancement Fund. Event admission is free; however, donations are welcome. Pink T-shirts will be $20 (cash payment preferred).
Parking for this event is located in the Silver Lots at the end of the stadium opposite the hospital. Please access the Silver Lots via 1 Ira Errett Rodgers Drive, Morgantown, as if you are visiting WVU Athletics’ Caperton Indoor Facility. Volunteers and signage will guide you upon arrival.
