Golisano Children's Neuroscience Center

The WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s Neuroscience Center brings together all the neuroscience disciplines to optimize care for children with neurological disease and disorders—not just neurosurgery or neurology, but behavioral medicine, physical medicine, dietary, and developmental pediatrics.

Neurology

The WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute Department of Neurology provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary care for stroke, movement disorders, brain injuries, headache disorders, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, cancer, sleep medicine, neuromuscular disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Huntington’s.

Neuroradiology

RNI’s expert neurointerventional radiologists use neuroimaging to create individualized treatment plans designed to help each patient have the best outcome possible. Our evidence-based stroke and aneurysm treatment protocols are based on the latest research, including work conducted here at WVU. The neurointerventional team is available around the clock for emergency stroke and aneurysm care, striving to begin treatment as quickly as possible.

Neuroscience

The WVU Department of Neuroscience comprises more than 70 faculty conducting cutting edge research spanning molecular to behavioral approaches, as well as computational and applied neuroscience. Our faculty are highly interactive and collaborative and specialize in research in neurodegeneration, addiction, stroke, human performance, cognition, and sensory neuroscience.
