The Division of Cardiac Surgery at WVU Heart and Vascular Institute leads West Virginia with pioneering cardiac procedures and innovative surgical care. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to offering state-of-the-art, life-saving cardiac care tailored to each patient’s needs. We have performed many firsts in the state, including heart transplantation, Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) implantation, and advanced robotic surgeries.
