Banking/ATMs
Two ATMs are located next to the cafeteria on the fourth floor of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. A third ATM can be found on the fourth floor of the Physician Office Center, near the elevator.
Dining and Vending
A cafeteria is located on the fourth floor of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Grab-and-go items are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Cafeteria hours vary by the day of the week. Vending machines are located near the cafeteria, and Starbucks is located in the first-floor lobby of Ruby Memorial Hospital.
The Market@WVU, a food court, is located at the WVU Health Sciences Center. It can be accessed by exiting the back doors of Ruby Memorial, on the fourth floor.
E-Cards
WVU Medicine provides free e-cards for current patients staying in the hospital. By filling out a brief online form, you can let a loved one know you're thinking of them with an e-card.
Gift Shop
The Friends Gift Shop, located near the northeast tower elevators of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, offers cards, stamps, flowers, magazines, snacks, personal care products, gift items, and more.
Information Desk
An ambassador service is located at the Information Desk in the first-floor lobby of J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week. An ambassador can also be reached for directions or questions by calling 304-598-4000, ext. 15056.
Interpretation services for patients who do not speak English (or who speak limited English) are provided. In addition, auxiliary aids and services are provided for patients with communication disabilities. Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD) is available free of charge to patients who need this service. To make arrangements for TDD equipment, call the WVU Medicine Help Desk at 304-598-4357.
In-Room Services
Patients and guests can order from the patient menu and have meals delivered to the patient rooms (dial 76368). Patients are encouraged to check with their provider or registered dietitian about dietary restrictions before eating any food brought in by visitors. Certain tests may require that you not eat for a period of time.
Guest trays are available for visitors and may be ordered by calling the same number used to order patient meals (76368). A payment of $6.50 is expected at the time of delivery with a debit or credit card. No cash will be accepted.
Pharmacy
WVU Medicine pharmacies offer you personalized care, prompt and accurate prescription refills, patient education, and more. Our full-service pharmacies are available for patients, students, WVU Medicine employees, and the community. We take pride in offering our patients advanced services that are not commonly available at other pharmacies and competitive pricing strategies.
For added convenience, you can receive your prescriptions through free home delivery by mail and receive automatic refills for qualifying prescriptions.

Spiritual Care
J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital offers a full range of spiritual care support services for patients and their family members during hospitalization. Our interfaith chaplains are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to support you and your family during what can be an anxious and uncertain time.
Our chaplains offer a compassionate presence and support in ways that are meaningful to you, which may include connecting patients and families to spiritual resources; giving support during decision-making; offering grief support; and providing religious services or rituals.
The Interfaith Prayer and Meditation Room provides a peaceful and relaxing environment where visitors can reflect, meditate, or pray. Located on the first floor between the Friends Gift Shop and elevators, visitors and patients of any or no faith tradition are welcome. The Interfaith Prayer and Meditation Room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Guests may leave prayer requests in a special prayer book, which is located in the room.
J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital also offers the No One Dies Alone Program, which provides companionship for patients who are 48-72 hours from death and are not able to have friends or family present. Call 304-598-4134 to learn more.
Wi-Fi
Computers, tablets, and smartphones with wireless capability can connect to the internet with FriendsConnect, a free, wireless service provided by Friends of WVU Hospitals. If you have trouble with your internet connection, please call the WVU Medicine Help Desk at 304-598-4357. This number is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
