Financial Assistance

WVU Medicine is committed to providing quality care for patients regardless of their ability to pay. We understand that some patients do not have the ability to pay for emergent or medically-necessary healthcare services.

In emergencies, treatment will not be delayed because of financial or insurance issues. For non-emergent care, patients must receive financial approval from their insurance plan or a WVU Medicine financial counselor before receiving services.
