Employees of WVU Medicine and the WVU Cancer Institute came together on Monday, May 20 to join organizations across the world in celebrating Clinical Trials Day on May 20. This day recognizes those who conduct clinical trials, raises awareness of clinical trials and clinical research, and is an opportunity to show gratitude for the work they do to improve public health.
The annual Bob Huggins Fish Fry supports both the Norma Mae Huggins Endowment at the WVU Cancer Institute and Remember the Miners’ flagship scholars program. Each year, nearly 1,500 fans and friends gather to enjoy good company, great eats, and to support these worthy causes. To ensure this support does not waiver in 2021, and in keeping with COVID guidelines, the in-person event has been shifted to a cutting-edge virtual experience.
