Mother’s Day flower and plant sale underway to benefit cancer patients

flower selectionOrders are being accepted for the 2nd Annual Mother’s Day flower and plant sale that benefits the Comfort Fund at the WVU Cancer Institute’s Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center. 

Hanging baskets are $20; giant ferns are $25.  The last day to pre-order is Friday, May 5. Cash payment is required at time of order. Call Mary Anne at 304-598-4549 or Jessica at 304-598-4978.   
You can also place your order at Ruby Cafeteria on Wed, May 3 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

Additionally, garden-themed baskets will be raffled off.

    The WVU Cancer Institute Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center is partnering with Jacqueline’s Fine Jewelry in the Suncrest Town Centre to benefit patients at the Cancer Center.  On Thursday, May 4, Jacqueline’s will host a Charmed by Charity event from 5:30-8P and 15 percent of Alex and Ani jewelry sales will go to the Cancer Center’s Comfort Fund.  Stop by and select a Mother’s Day gift or a graduation gift and support the Fund.     CPC Recognizes 300 partners with Thank-a-thon

    Cancer Prevention and Control recognized National Volunteer Week with a "Thank-a-thon" on Monday, April 24.  Staff worked together to contact 300 volunteers and partners from around the Mountain State to let them know how much their efforts are appreciated. CPC has a diverse array of partners that include service and social groups, health care providers, health clinics, non-profit organizations, media, businesses, faith-based organizations, schools, and governmental agencies.
