Jennifer Dorazio has joined the WVU Cancer Institute (WVUCI) as the Assistant Director for Administration.
She’s a WVU graduate with over ten years of experience within the WVU Medicine system. In addition to serving as the Assistant Director for Administration with the WVUCI, she is also the Faculty Administrator for the Department of Medicine, Hematology Oncology.
Dorazio brings a multitude of experience and knowledge as she manages the primary functions of supporting Hematology and Oncology faculty, mid-level providers, oversees WVU Medicine, UHA, Foundation and WVU Research Corporation budgets for the WVU Cancer Institute and the Section of Hematology Oncology.
Five undergraduate students have been selected to participate in the Summer Research Fellowship Program this year at the WVU Cancer Institute.
Cancer Prevention and Control at the WVU Cancer Institute presents Mandi Chapman, MA discussing cultural sensitivity for LGBTQI patients in this newly created web course. As the Associate Center Director, Patient-Centered Initiatives and Health Equity for the George Washington Cancer Center, Ms. Chapman’s research focuses on patient navigation, cancer survivorship and health equity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) communities. More than 100 people from the Morgantown area took advantage of this year’s skin cancer screening at the Cancer Institute’s Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center last Thursday. Several of them, like Sara Moreland participate in the screening every year.
