Dine Out for BRA Day #TheBraDay
Breast Reconstruction Awareness
We are hosting a Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day event in honor of all the strong and passionate women that have endured being diagnosed with breast cancer. All women deserve to know all of their breast reconstruction options to help them close the loop on breast cancer. That is why we are here!
The Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of WVU Medicine invite you to participate in Dine Out for BRA Day.
BRA Day is a nationwide initiative that began in 2012 and takes place annually on the third Wednesday in October.
Dine Out is a benefit night where a percentage of the night’s receipts will go to support BRA Day. Dine out is a terrific way to show your support for local women and families while enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner at your favorite participating restaurant. Funds raised during this benefit will be used to provide assistance, such as medication costs, transportation and other supportive services, to uninsured and underinsured women seeking breast reconstruction.
Breast cancer surgery often results in a significant alteration to a woman’s breast(s) and can have severe quality of life consequences, making an impact physically and psychologically.
Most women facing mastectomy don’t know that by law, health insurance plans that offer mastectomy coverage must also provide coverage for reconstructive surgery after mastectomy.
Restaurants listed below will be donating a portion of their total receipts to this benefit.
