Senior Director of Development -- West Virginia University Cancer Institute West Virginia University Foundation, Inc. 

The West Virginia University Foundation, Inc., a non-profit specifically designated to aid, further and support the work and purposes of West Virginia University, is seeking an accomplished professional to join our fundraising team as Senior Director of Development for the WVU Cancer Institute at West Virginia University Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center.

The Sr. Director of Development will lead a comprehensive, integrated development program to its next level of accomplishment in support of the WVU Cancer Institute's (WVUCI’s) mission as part of the Health Sciences Center at West Virginia University. As the Institute’s development officer, the Sr. Director works closely with the WVUCI Director on engagement of high potential prospects for support of the Institute’s priority funding objectives. The Senior Director of Development will report to the AVP for Development for Health Sciences.

Malignant Hematology/Stem Cell Transplant Physician Scientist -- Endowed Chambers Chair

The West Virginia University Cancer Institute at West Virginia University School of Medicine, along with the Section of Hematology/Oncology in partnership with the West Virginia Clinical Translational Science Institute (WV CTSI), is actively recruiting an academic physician scientist for the John T. and June R. Chambers Chair of Oncology Research and Co-Leader of the Alexander B. Osborn Hematopoietic Malignancies and Transplant Program. This endowed position along with our partners will provide substantive support for prospective candidate(s) with active laboratory, translational, and/or clinical research experience with R01 or equivalent funding, and/or extensive experience in hematological malignancies including hematopoietic stem cell transplant clinical trials. The successful candidate will join a growing robust team of basic scientists and expert clinicians in medical and radiation oncology, hematopathologists and population health researchers. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in hematology and/or oncology. In addition to excellent patient care, the faculty member will have opportunities to mentor fellows, residents, and medical and graduate students.

Breast Cancer Physician Scientist -- Endowed Wilson Professorship

The West Virginia University Cancer Institute at West Virginia University School of Medicine, along with the Section of Hematology/Oncology in partnership with the West Virginia Clinical Translational Science Institute (WV CTSI), is actively recruiting an academic physician scientist for the Bonnie Wells Wilson Distinguished Professor in Breast Cancer Research and Co-Leader of the Breast Cancer Research Program. This endowed position along with our partners will provide substantive support for prospective candidate(s) with active laboratory, translational and/or clinical research experience with R01 or equivalent funding, and/or extensive experience in breast cancer clinical trials. The successful candidate will join a growing robust team of basic scientists and expert clinicians in medical, surgical and radiation oncology, pathologists and population health researchers. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in oncology. In addition to excellent patient care, the faculty member will have opportunities to mentor fellows, residents, and medical and graduate students.

The West Virginia University Cancer Institute seeks distinguished scientists and thought leaders as Faculty (rank open) to further its scientific exploration and discovery targeting the prevention and cure of cancer. The selected candidate(s) will exhibit extraordinary potential for significantly advancing his/her field toward novel treatments in cancer related disciplines, be committed to bench-to-bedside activity, be comfortable with collaborative accomplishment, and have a willingness to share discoveries for the benefit of the larger medical community. He/she will hold a faculty appointment in the West Virginia University Cancer Institute, as well as appointment in a department in the WVU School of Medicine - depending on discipline expertise and interests, and experience.
